I
couldn’t get a flight ticket from Shiraz to Tabriz, therefore I re-scheduled to
Fuman instead, for Masuleh and Qa’leh Rudkhan.
I
didn’t expect snowing in Masuleh (25km away from Fuman), it was getting heavier
till reaching Masuleh. The village was built on hill slope. Fairly thick snow
covered the roads, roofs, trees... everything. I didn't prepare for this weather,
shoes and socks were soaked and my feet were cold. Nothing impressive in terms
of architecture or scenery, maybe the snowing had blocked the view. In summer
the lush green paddy fields and tea plantations would lure the tourists to
escape the heat. Should be nice then.
Fuman
was snowing and raining continuously, I cancelled my trip to Qal'eh Rudkhan
situated on top of a forested hill the next day.
A view from my room.
Masuleh, heavy snowing since last 2 days.
Couldn't see the scenery clear in this weather.
Had to walk cautiously, a miss step may fall down to the cliff.
The village is built on a hill slope.
Flowers could resist the coldness.
The roof of one house is the walking path of the houses above.
Main market / shopping street was close in this season.
Luckily found this local teahouse for a cup of hot tea.
Simple teahouse, but served the purpose well.
Kinda like this picture.
Fruit stall in Fuman bazaar.
Preserved fishes.
Making Klucheh.
